Electric tubular heating elements are commonly used to heat air in ducted systems, primarily for air drying in industrial applications. Duct or air heaters are used in HVAC systems in residential and industrial complexes, hotels, airports, stadiums, and offshore environments, as well as for hot air purging or drying in power plants and painting applications.
Purvi Heaters' Open Coil Air Heaters feature an open coil of high resistance wire electrically isolated in a stainless steel sheath. Using an open coil is the most efficient and economical type of electric air heating — exposing maximum heating element surface area directly to airflow for fast heat-up time and improved efficiency with lower maintenance.
Construction: high-grade nickel chromium wire coils are evenly wound on a mica sheet, placed at the center of an SS304 sheath, and electrically isolated using a layer of flexible mica wrapped inside the sheath.
