Medium Voltage Heaters
Medium voltage heater with operating voltage up to 6.6 KV, fabricated using MgO-based preforms for large industrial heating loads.
View DetailsTubular heating elements with fins brazed or welded along their length to increase surface area, for fast, efficient air and gas heating in ducts, ovens, and process airflow.
Finned tubular heaters take the same sheathed tubular element used in our standard Process & Tubular Heaters and add fins along the heated length — typically steel or aluminium fins, spirally wound and brazed or welded to the sheath. The fins substantially increase the surface area in contact with moving air or gas, which improves heat transfer efficiency and allows a lower sheath temperature for a given heat output.
This makes finned tubular elements well suited to any application where air or gas is forced across the heater, rather than where the heater is in direct contact with a solid or liquid load.
| Base Element | Sheathed tubular heating element (Ni-Cr 80/20 in MgO-filled metal sheath) |
| Fin Material | Steel or aluminium, spirally wound and brazed/welded to the sheath |
| Material of Construction | Steel (ERW/seamless), Stainless Steel ASTM Grade 304/304L/310/316/316L/321, Alloys 600, 625, 800 |
| Application | Forced-air / gas heating — not for immersion or direct-contact loads |
